A welcoming community designed to feel like home

Vincent Court was built by the Kempsey community on a foundation of Christian values. Here, we believe that feeling at home is important for everyone’s wellbeing. That’s why we support each resident to maintain their interests, familiar routines and connections to the people and places they love. It’s also why our community is divided into smaller households with Carers who feel like trusted friends and outdoor spaces that provide the simple pleasures of a backyard. At Vincent Court, you can live your way while being part of a welcoming and vibrant neighbourhood.

Private suites now available

Vincent Court is welcoming new residents. Private suites with their own ensuite are available in both permanent and respite aged-care, including in our secure dementia household. Maximum room price: $320,000.

A sense of home and belonging

To offer a more personal living experience, Vincent Court is divided into seven households where residents share a kitchenette, lounge and dining room. Your light-filled room, complete with its own ensuite, can be furnished and decorated as you like, and we respect that this is your private sanctuary, just like a master bedroom. With no set visiting hours, you can welcome family and friends to your home anytime.

Carers who get to know you well

We focus on you as a person, getting to know your story, your likes and your routine. Our dedicated Carers and Nurses are selected for their kind, compassionate and dignified approach to care. Respecting your independence and choice, they are on-hand 24 hours a day supporting you with the tailored care you need to live your way.

Design your own day

Just like at home, you decide how you’d like to spend your day. When you rise, eat and shower is up to you, and you’re supported to keep doing the simple things you’ve always enjoyed, like watering the garden, catching up on the daily news with a cup of tea, or just having an afternoon nap. Step outside your house, and there are a wide range of activities and outings to enjoy with others, and lots of ways to stay involved in the local community.

The kitchen is the heart of our home

Walk through our doors and you’ll be met with the delicious aromas of home cooking. Everything is freshly made in our own restaurant-style central kitchen, and our menus offer variety and family favourites. You can choose when and where you eat your meals, and help yourself to a snack or drink in your household’s stocked kitchenette. Keen bakers can continue to make their own favourite recipes in our Cooking Program.

Enjoy the simple pleasures of a traditional backyard

The sprawling, one-level design of Vincent Court means there’s greenery and natural light everywhere you look. Each private room opens onto a shared balcony or a courtyard that’s full of the familiar features of a traditional backyard, like chooks, flower beds, veggie patches and hills hoists. You can tend to your own gardens, or just sit in a sunny spot and admire what’s growing.

Supporting families with short-term care

Vincent Court offers short-term respite care in our private rooms with ensuites. This can provide much needed support for families caring for their loved one at home, especially at holiday times or when they are recovering from an illness or injury and require additional care. Many of our respite guests enjoy their stay so much, they decided to make Vincent Court their home.

Built by the community for the community

Vincent Court has been an integral part of the Kempsey community for over four decades and the close ties it has always enjoyed with the Macleay Valley Catholic Parish remain strong. Regardless of faith, residents can choose to attend regular services in our own on-site Chapel or Mass in the Parish Church, and everyone is welcome to receive private pastoral visits.

A friendly country town close to regional centres

Kempsey is loved for its familiar country charm and its easy access to everything this is beautiful part of the Mid North Coast has to offer. Set on the banks of the Macleay River, Kempsey is under an hour’s drive from Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour. It’s surrounded by many picturesque beachside towns like Crescent Head, Hat Head and South West Rocks.

“I’m well and truly looked after here by the best group of Carers, and there’s always someone to share a yarn and a laugh with. I feel very comfortable in such a homely place and I love that I can have input into the lifestyle program.”
Joan, Resident in Azalea Household
“We cannot praise the Care team at Vincent Court enough for their warmth, kindness and compassion that flows throughout the entire community. Everyone here has been so caring to my husband and to all the residents, which is always lovely to see. They are all very special people.”
Maureen, Wife of a resident
“I think what makes Vincent Court so special is the way we focus on helping each resident continue doing the things they’ve always done. We just make sure they’re safe, comfortable and supported. It’s this approach that makes our community feel like home, and our Carers feel like family.”
Sara Campbell, Service Manager, Vincent Court
“Every older Australian deserves to be cared for as an individual. Our care culture centres on kindness and helping each resident live their best, most joyful life every day – whatever that means to them.”
Kylie Radburn Chief Governance Officer, Apollo Care
