In July, residents donned their brightest outfits and biggest smiles to enjoy the much anticipated and now famous Vincent Court Ball.
The theme, “A splash of colour” was voted by residents and saw the Recreation Room transformed into a vibrant display, reminiscent of an artist’s palette. Bold and beautiful hues adorned every corner of the room. From the rainbow drapes on the ceiling to the crafted lampshades – colour was everywhere, creating a cheerful backdrop to a wonderful event.
Lifestyle Lead, Michelle says residents are always fully invested in the ball. “From deciding on the theme, to creating the decorations as part of the Activities Program, they’re eager to be involved and proud of their efforts. It makes everything more wonderful when they see it come together on the day.”
Residents arrived dressed to the nines and laughed as they added accessories and posed for photographs. Staff and volunteers joined in the fun too, dressing up in zany outfits.
The afternoon was filled with lively chatter, delicious food, toe-tapping music and songs from the good old days.
Resident, Sister Cabrini, says a lot of work was put into the preparations for the ball. “We had a tremendous amount of food and good company.”
For many residents, the ball is more than a party. It’s a joyful tradition – an opportunity to connect, celebrate and make new memories.
